Last year we saw American Express offer generous retention bonuses for those that call in to cancel a card. We are again seeing those offers, mostly on annual fee cards (but also on non annual fee cards). Some of the offers are things like the annual fee being refunded on the Platinum cards (up to $595) or 50,000 Membership Rewards on those points.
