American Express changed the Ameriprise Platinum card, it no longer offers the first year annual fee waiver but instead a 60,000 point bonus. This is a massive downgrade as some people churned this card for the benefits without ever having to pay an annual fee. Chuck also looked at if you could get the sign up bonus if you’ve ever held this card before. In addition to this the Ameriprise Gold card was also discontinued.

American Express also released the new WeWork benefit. Targeted no lifetime offers are also available on the Delta and Business platinum card. In worse news American Express closed some Morgan Stanley Platinum accounts.

It wasn’t all American Express though with Citi making changes to the 24 month rule. If you’re interested in the Chase Marriott business card then now is your last chance to get it. It might also be possible to get a 90,000 mile bonus on the Cathay Pacific card.

It was a good week for bank account bonuses. Wells Fargo has a $200 bonus that doesn’t require direct deposit, unfortunately it’s not available in a lot of areas. Wells Fargo also has a $1,000 in branch business checking bonus that is worth doing. Discover again extended the $150/$200 savings bonus that is available nationwide. Audible is offering two months free and a $10 Amazon credit, worth doing if you’re eligible. Coinbase is offering $10 in BAT for free, you can also get a $5 Domino’s giftcard from Carma project as well. Starbucks has a new hopscotch game.
