Amex Offers: FuboTV $20 Off $40 (3x)

Update 3/6/21: Deal available again.

The Offer

Targeted offer, check AmEx offers to see if you’re targeted

  • Get a $20 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $40 or more online at fubo.tv by 12/3/2019. Limit of 3 statement credits.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid for US subscriptions purchased online in USD only at fubo.tv.
  • Excludes any third party billing used to register. Purchases may not qualify if not billed directly by the merchant. For example, if you purchased your subscription through a third party device/digital platform, cable/wireless/internet provider, you may get billed by the party you signed up with, and not directly by the merchant.
  • If you are a new customer receiving a free trial, you may not be charged until the free trial period has lapsed.

Our Verdict

Useful for sports fans. Looks like the base subscription cost is $55, so it’s essentially $20 off $55 (3x).

Saks Fifth Avenue To Seperate Online & eCommerce Business (Potential Effect On Plat Credits)

Saks Fifth Avenue has announced that the physical stores and eCommerce business will be separated, this will allow the online arm to raise money to fund it’s growth. WSJ is reporting that few changes will be seen by customers and they will be able to purchase online and pick up in store. Readers of this blog might be interested in this change due to the twice annual $50 American Express Platinum credits.

Based on my reading I doubt we will see any change to how those will work, as this is really just a way for investors to be able to invest in the online arm of the business without worrying about the physical brick and mortar business but it’s always possible that the way American Express has structed the contract that it could have an affect.

Chase Offers/BofA: Verizon Prepaid, Get $35 Back with $35 Spend

Update: This offer is showing on Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and other banks that use the same back-end as well.

The Offer

Check your Chase Offers for the following deal:

  • Spend $35 on Verizon Prepaid service on an eligible Chase card and get a $35 statement credit.

The Fine Print

  • Offer expires 3/25/21

Our Verdict

Free $35 for Verizon prepaid customers. Not sure if there’s any way to use it for those who don’t have Verizon prepaid, but it’s easy to load a friend’s account simply by knowing their phone number – no need to give out your credit card number. Some are thinking of trying out Verizon prepaid for a month and stacking with the Rakuten 7,500/$75 offer on new prepaid accounts.

Increased American Express Delta Offers (Up To 90,000 Miles)

The Offers

Our Verdict

Better than the previous increased offers we’ve seen on these cards before. Although Delta keeps devaluing rewards miles, so relatively speaking it’s difficult to say if that’s actually the case or not. Still worth considering some of these offers if you plan to travel after vaccination and can use them in the medium term. We will be adding these to our best credit card bonus page.

Dosh: Get 5% Back at Starbucks

The Offer

  • The Dosh app is offering 5% cash back at Starbucks stores and starbucks.com when you pay with a Dosh-connected card.

The Fine Print

  • $5 max cashback per day
  • $1.50 maximum cashback per transaction
  • Only valid at participating locations
  • Must use a Dosh-connected card. (For the online offer, you must click through Dosh and use a Dosh-connected card.)

Our Verdict

Stacks well with the $3 Chase Offer if targeted or the AmEx dining credits. I’m unsure if Starbucks app reloads will get 5% cash back, let us know if you try. Regardless, I imagine you can do a reload with an in-store swipe which would work to get the cash back. Reload in $30 increments since the max per transaction is $1.50.
