Some Chase referral links are now showing the Sapphire Preferred 80,000 + $50 signup bonus offer when using a referral link. This makes the offer even more lucrative since the referrer then gets 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points as well.
Apparently, the regular referral links are still showing the 60,000 offer, but some outdated links are redirecting and landing up on the 80,000 offer. My understanding is that the referral credit would track through the redirect.
It’s possible we’ll see the 80,000 offer become the regular referral offer for everyone at some point in the future. (As far as the increased Sapphire Reserve offer goes: I don’t this the Sapphire Reserve card is available through referral links at all.)
