At Chase’s investor day they announced that they would be launching a dedicated travel booking platform called ‘ChaseTravel.com’ later this year. In 2018 Chase moved their travel portal from Connexions Loyalty (owned by cxLoyalty) to Expedia. Then in late 2020 Chase acquired the rewards division cxLoyalty and finally in late 2021 Chase moved back to cxLoyalty.
Chase expects it’s travel business to reach $8 billion in sales volume this year, and $15 billion by 2025 and claimed that it accounts for $1 in every $4 of the US leisure travel market and $1 in every $3 is spent by a Chase customer.
In addition to this announcement Chase also announced that they are under contract for a total of 8 airport lounges. Chase has already announced plans to open lounges in LAS, PHX, SAN, BOS, HKG & LGA. It’s unclear where the additional two lounges will be located.
