The Fine Print
- Open a new Pay Me Checking, Performance Checking, or Connect Card account with promo code 222
- Must be member’s first CFCU checking account
- Within 90 days of opening:
- Enroll in eStatements
- Receive qualifying (payroll, pension, or government benefit) direct deposits totaling at least $2,222
- Make 22 debit card purchases of at least $2
- Offer valid 2/22/2022 through 4/30/2022. Cannot be combined with other offers.
- Bonus paid to Primary Share within 90 days of requirements being met. Members who receive more than $600 in incentives annually will receive a 1099-Misc.

I wasn’t able to find any fee schedule, so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
There has been a $250 bonus and $150 in the past. Those haven’t been offered in a long time though. Unfortunately there are mixed datapoints of it being a hard or soft pull.
