Our Verdict
This is an annual deal for Prime Day and a nice little perk for Prime members. Seems it’s only on the Chase Amazon card, not on the Synchrony Amazon card (?).
I usually stock up with an Amazon reload (our affiliate link here and below) during Prime Day to get the extra 1%. You can also load up on Whole Foods gift cards or any other third-party gift card at the increased 6% rate. This year I’ll load up my Amazon balance with a Chase Freedom cards for 5x rewards on Amazon during Q2 2022 – which I value more than 6% – and probably won’t end up using the 6% offer.
