Our Verdict
Looks like a pretty awesome deal to get 25% off an iPad or laptop, for example. I’m not sure if there’s a limit to the discount. Also not sure whether this is working for all Amazon business customers or only select users. Hopefully we’ll hear feedback from readers on this.
Anyone can create a free Amazon business account. It looks like they might take a few days to verify your business; I don’t know how strict they are with verification of a sole proprietorship, but I imagine an EIN would suffice.
(Another interesting thing I noticed is that Amazon Business offers a single-user Prime Business account for just $69; it doesn’t come with the auxiliary perks like Prime Video, but it works for the regular fast shipping without minimums. I should really switch over to this $69 option given that regular Prime now costs $139 and I don’t use the auxiliary benefits much. Though it’s possible that making the switch will result in my losing the 5% Amazon Prime cashback on my Chase Amazon personal card. If anyone uses Prime Business, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.)
